POSITION SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Plans, controls, schedules and provides the leadership to achieve quality problem solutions, quality cost reduction and customer satisfaction by reporting quality status and analyzing defective products, consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team leader.
KEY JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs product quality analysis of customer and internal reported concerns to determine failure mode, potential root cause(s) and appropriate interim and permanent corrective actions.
Provides direction to internal/external departments regarding initial containment and product verification activities.
Reports problem resolution status, updates and tracking in both internal and external (on line) problem reporting systems.
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during customer build activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Supports and/or maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
Utilize FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) approach to assist analysis (as required).
Interpretation of production specifications to confirm analysis.
Develop and maintain work instructions for quality assurance processes
Provides analysis report to support customer failure analysis.
Coordinates preparation of monthly customer quality reports.
Maintains test equipment & calibration program. (as assigned)
Develops and maintain strong working relationships with key customer contacts.
Attends customer meetings and reports status of open issues to appropriate internal/external entities.
Communication of problem resolution status & plans to key customer management team members.
Conducts dealer scramble activities if required.
Performs continuous improvement activities (Kaizen)
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSE / CERTIFICATIONS
BS*E (BSME, BSEE, BSIE etc.) or better
3-5 years minimumexperience of APQP experience at a Tier 1automotive electronics automotive facility.
Understanding customer and internal quality standards and technical documents.
Audit internal manufacturing processes and perform follow up (PFU) with successful problem resolution.
Understand master schedules and develop detailed plan, facilitate cross functional communication and meetings.
Provide situation reports to management.
Perform problem resolution.
Travel frequent(80-100%) travel to Reynosa, Mexico, (other domestic and internal travel as needed).
Language English required- business level written and spoken Spanish required.
Written and /or spoken Japanese is a plus, but not mandatory.
