As the company expands its operations, they are seeking a dedicated Quality Specialist to contribute to their ongoing success.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and drawings.
- Help uphold the integrity of the AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality management frameworks.
- Create essential quality records, such as inspection reports, certifications, PPAP packages, and AS9102 FAIRs.
- Oversee the processing of nonconformance reports and facilitate necessary corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of both internal and external quality audits.
- Collaborate with production staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the shop floor.
- Apply precision measurement tools, including gauges, calipers, and micrometers, to verify component quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in a quality role, or at least 3 years specifically within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Proven background in conducting first article, final, and in-process inspections.
- Familiarity with the requirements of ISO 9001 and AS9100D quality standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using standard inspection instrumentation.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous documentation habits.
Preferred Skills
- Background in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Ability to operate or program CMM equipment.
- Experience in identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.
- Participation in external and internal quality audit processes.
This role offers a unique chance to work within a stable environment, providing you with high-level visibility and responsibility over the quality systems across two production sites. The position operates on a first-shift schedule and includes the benefit of potential early departures on Fridays.
