Introduction
Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations supports development of various sensor technologies and compute platforms for an automotive application. We provide rapid prototyping capability and facilitate quick design iterations for product development. We are now looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, innovative, quality-driven, a self-starter, and willing to take on the challenges to work with us as an exceptional quality technician to help us increase the quality across our products.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 to 6 years of industry experience or High school diploma (or equivalent) with 8 to 10 years of industry experience
- Working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets
- Thorough knowledge of QMS and quality control fundamentals
- In-depth understanding of 8D and problem-solving techniques
- Prior work experience at client or in client’s Industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous mechanical inspection background with the ability to use basic and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings using GD&T methodologies
- Preferred knowledge of PC-DMIS programming
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain inspection plans and inspection instructions
- Develop & maintain IQC (Incoming Quality Control), IPQC (In Process Quality Control), & OQC (Outgoing Quality Control) processes and procedures
- Develop NCMR (Non-Conforming Material Reports) and quarantine instructions
- Hold MRB (Material Review Board) meetings with key stakeholders
- Perform RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) to drive quality issues to resolution
- Inspect receiving materials by confirming product meets drawing, specifications, and requirements
- Conduct visual, functional, and mechanical measurement tests across multitudes of parts
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and inputting data into a quality database
