Position Summary
The Quality Inspector ensures that products are manufactured according to minimum requirements and tests products against industry and/or customer specifications. This role includes orientation training on all ISO certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold a culture of ethics and integrity in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Compliance Management System
- Carry out product tests and thorough, independent final inspection of finished assemblies according to defined procedures, formally reporting all defects
- Provide technical support in assembly, receiving inspection, and production line activities in coordination with the Quality Department
- Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from relevant departments to establish action plans for improving build quality
- Ensure all products flow through the inspection department
- Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are properly recorded
- Use calibrated equipment in accordance with industry standards
- Write clear, simple reports and provide information to management
- Train other employees in proper inspection procedures
- Assist with receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of assemblies and raw materials as required
- Assist the Head of Laboratory with special projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of previous Quality experience in an assembly environment preferred
- Ability to read, write, and interpret general documents such as procedures and manuals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with team members, team leaders, and supervisors
- Ability to use general hand tools
- Ability to read the metric system
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and hard gauges
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely use a ladder
- Ability to sit for extended periods to perform tests or write reports

Pay: $24.00 per hour
