Job Summary:
This position performs non-technical duties in the support of the Quality Control department and prepares sample collection tubes to be used by our clients.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Label and aliquot tubes for Quality Control samples
Label and bag frozen aliquots of Quality Control samples
Maintain inventory of manufactured drug standard solutions
Maintain inventory of NMS prepared solutions
Prepare sample collection tubes for clients
Filter blank matrices when needed
Wash glassware
Assist with maintaining an orderly work area
Participate in departmental meetings and projects
Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of chain of custody procedures
Exhibit professional and effective interpersonal skills
Possess good organizational skills
Ability to read and comprehend company procedures and apply them to work operations
Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy
Must be flexible in scheduling and available for overtime as required
Good customer service focus and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to adapt to change
Clear, neat and legible penmanship
Physical Demands
Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate computer keyboard, objects, or controls.
Requires walking from one work location to another throughout the shift.
Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
Lifting and carrying objects up to 10 pounds
Specific vision abilities (with correction) include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Exposure to intermittent or constant sounds generated by equipment.
Exposure to fumes, noxious odors and dust
Handling of biological material and blood-borne pathogens
Handling of toxic or caustic chemicals
