Role Overview
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of applications. You will take ownership of end-to-end testing activities, working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing activities independently with minimal supervision
- Own the full QA lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test design to execution, defect tracking, and reporting
- Identify, analyse, and resolve defects, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to embed quality across the SDLC
- Track and analyse QA metrics (test coverage, defect density, open issues) to drive continuous improvement
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, QA demos)
- Proactively provide quality insights and feedback to identify issues early and improve product reliability
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Computing, Software Engineering, or related field
- Min 5 years’ experience in a Software Testing / QA role
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Hands-on experience testing APIs and web services (Postman, SoapUI)
- Working knowledge of SQL scripting
- Experience testing web and desktop applications
- Familiarity with cross-browser testing platforms (BrowserStack or similar)
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with test and project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, XRAY, Confluence, or equivalent)
- Fluent in French – mandatory (written and spoken)
- ISTQB certification is a plus
