We are supporting a CDMO in New Jersey that is looking to bring in a Senior QA Deviations Consultant on a contract basis.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can come in, assess the current deviations process, identify gaps, and improve how investigations, documentation, and workflow are managed across the site.
The business is looking for a consultant who can help strengthen the full deviations process, improve quality and speed, and leave behind a more effective long-term way of working.
- Review and assess the current deviations process end to end
- Identify gaps in investigations, documentation, workflow, and overall process effectiveness
- Improve deviation handling, closure timelines, and documentation quality
- Support stronger root cause investigation and more robust corrective actions
- Work cross-functionally with QA and site stakeholders to improve ways of working
- Help implement a more scalable, compliant, and efficient deviations framework
- Bring a consulting mindset, with a focus on long-term process improvement rather than short-term firefighting
- Use modern tools and fresh thinking to help transform documentation and process flow
- Strong QA background within pharma, biotech, or CDMO environments
- Proven experience managing and improving deviations / investigations in a GMP setting
- Ability to carry out gap assessments and recommend practical process improvements
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to raise the standard of technical and quality records
- Experience improving quality systems, workflows, and operational efficiency
- Confident working across multiple stakeholders and influencing change
- Track Wise or other deviation/QMS system experience would be highly beneficial
- Someone with a forward-thinking approach who can help modernise the process and support long-term success
