Position: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Department: Engineering (ENG)

Key Objectives:

As Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting Manager Quality Assurance (MQA) in the implementation of the Engineering Department’s Quality System, Quality Assurance Program, Continued Airworthiness and AOC Part Two Compliance and with monitoring compliance with, and adequacy of, procedures required to ensure safe maintenance practices and airworthy aircraft.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits of line stations, maintenance organizations and other service providers.
  • Perform aircraft surveillance in transit, Line Maintenance and base maintenance input.
  • Maintain audit reports, aircraft records and other QA related documents.
  • Monitor compliance of AHK fleet with CAD360 Part Two and IOSA requirements.
  • Monitor compliance of AHK fleet with Airworthiness Notices, Airworthiness Directives.
  • Monitor the validity of Exemptions and Variations applied to the AHK fleet.
  • Report to HKCAD on engineering occurrence per CAD382.
  • Conduct occurrence investigation on MOR/ASR/ MSQDR, investigation of aircraft incidents, occurrences and safety reports to ensure AHK’s safety and airworthiness standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with HKCAD on quality, safety and compliance related issues.
  • Provide regular updates on quality issues, AHK fleet status and investigation reports to HKCAD.
  • Liaise and monitor AHK FTM service providers and contractors on quality and safety related issues.
  • Update ENG departmental risk register.
  • Carry out risk assessment on quality-related projects.
  • Responsible for publications control.
  • Prepare reports on quality meetings and routine authority meetings.
  • Conduct AHK company procedures training for ENG service providers.
  • Responsible for projects that may be assigned by the Manager Quality Assurance from time to time.
  • Deputize for the Manager Quality Assurance in his or her absence with the support from Head of Engineering, in all aspects of the MQA role except those specifically assigned to the post holder.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Aircraft Maintenance License or University graduate in an engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of aircraft engineering and maintenance experience, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of engineering investigation.
  • Received training courses such as Auditor Course, Human Factors and Safety Management System Training.
  • Good team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and with good analytical and strategic thinking
  • Fluent in conversational and written English
