Title: Senior Quality Assurance Manager
Company: OPTIMIZA FINANCE
Location: Mexico City, Mexico
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help us build reliable, intuitive, and high-quality products for users in Mexico and other global markets.
You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, QA, and local business teams from early product discovery through launch. You’ll help shape quality strategy, identify risks, design thoughtful test coverage, and ensure we ship product experiences that work well in real-world local scenarios.
This role is a strong fit for someone with solid QA fundamentals, strong ownership, clear communication, and a genuine interest in user experience and local market behavior.
What You’ll Do
•Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, QA, and local business teams to understand product goals, user journeys, requirements, and launch plans.
•Define test strategy, test scope, and quality risks based on requirements, designs, user flows, and acceptance criteria.
•Create and execute test plans for web and mobile products, covering functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and release validation testing.
•Identify, document, and drive defects to resolution with clear context, impact, reproduction steps, evidence, and logs.
•Validate end-to-end user experience across staging and production, and provide quality insights, release readiness updates, and go/no-go recommendations.
•Own Mexico-specific testing scenarios, including language, devices, network conditions, payments, addresses, accounts, and local user behavior.
•Improve QA processes, reusable test coverage, local market quality knowledge, and use AI tools where helpful to increase testing and documentation efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
•4+ years of experience in software QA, software testing, or a similar quality role, with hands-on experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
•Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, test strategy, defect lifecycle management, and release quality practices.
•Experience creating clear test cases from requirements, user flows, and acceptance criteria, and executing manual functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and release validation testing.
•Familiarity with Agile/Scrum teams, sprint planning, release cycles, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Lark, Linear, or similar.
•Ability to write clear, structured, and actionable bug reports in English, and communicate effectively with distributed teams.
•Basic technical fluency with APIs, databases, logs, client/server behavior, and SQL.
•Strong ownership, attention to detail, user empathy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively across time zones.
