Senior Quality Engineer £45,000 – £55,000 per annum Our client is recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to fully support the Quality Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance to company policies, system procedures, work instructions and specifications. Driving improvements, the Senior Quality Engineer will ensure the timely completion of 8D investigations and be the first point of contact for any quality escalations.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely completion of 8
Ds including the implementation of corrective actions Complete Gemba walks around site to support continuous improvement Support the upkeep of the Business Management System Be the first point of escalation for serious quality issues Be proficient in Quality standards and methodologies such as 8D’s, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP To carry out Internal & Supplier audits as required within the organisation Support Customer and Third-Party Audits Support all internal departments with quality related matters Be fully conversant in reading engineering drawings Read and understand customer specifications/POs in order to support completion contract reviews Assist in maintaining and adhering to the organisations accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO
9001 and all customer requirements To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility The Ideal Senior Quality Engineer
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience creating processes and procedures 8D completion including fishbone / 5 whys? AS9100 and ISO
9001 experience Create and upkeep quality metrics Able to create ISIR / FAIR documentation Carried out internal audits Working knowledge of CMM equipment Problem resolution and Root Cause Analysis Quality Engineer Working Hours and Benefits 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00 – 13:00 Fridays Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
