About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely, focusing on creating and maintaining automated tests for our diverse customer base. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional user experiences by ensuring the reliability and functionality of our clients’ software applications. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand testing requirements, debug issues, and enhance our automation tooling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape QA engineering practices at an early-stage startup while working in a flexible, fully remote environment within the Pacific Time Zone. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and eager to learn new skills, with a passion for improving software quality through automation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS
- Experience using Chrome DevTools for debugging and reproducing failures
- Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts effectively
- Self-motivated with a quick learning curve
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting
- Legal authorization to work in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or Australia
- Residency within the Pacific Time Zone in the US
Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software quality
- Debug issues using Chrome DevTools and reproduce failures accurately
- Collaborate with development teams to understand testing requirements and improve automation tools
- Work on multiple customer accounts, ensuring timely delivery of testing solutions
- Read and interpret documentation to unblock and troubleshoot issues independently
- Contribute to the development of best practices and tooling for QA automation
- Participate in the hiring process, including completing take-home coding challenges and work sessions
- Provide feedback and insights to improve QA processes and automation strategies
