Description:
2nd Shift Quality Assurance (QA) Tech performs all duties associated with the quality Control And quality assurance of the product including quality inspections, quality testing, quality documentation, quality program development and training. In addition, the position will inspect nightly sanitation duties for adequacy and completeness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform quality check rounds numerous times per sift (check paperwork, product conformance, temperatures of processes and storage)
Collect samples for quality testing and archiving
Inspection of food safety and quality practices
Allergen swabbing
Perform laboratory testing on production samples (pH, °Brix, titratable acidity, organoleptic)
Perform internal quality and food safety audits
Assist in guiding external auditors
Calibrate and verify lab equipment
Generate finished product certificates of analysis
Requirements:
Technical Requirements
Problem Solving
Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Mathematics – ability to us basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, decimals
Comprehend written instructions and ability to communicate information and ideas in writing
Some experience with QA/QC testing and basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meter, refractometer, thermometer)
