JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Supplier Quality & Sourcing Engineer to join our R&D New Product team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, controlling, and improving the quality of input materials from platform suppliers. You will ensure compliance with technical standards, handle supplier quality issues (NCR/8D), optimize costs, and enhance supplier capabilities to achieve the project’s strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supplier Quality Management & Improvement:
- Conduct market surveys, identify new potential suppliers, and perform initial/periodic Quality System Audits (QSA/QPA).
- Approve initial sample submissions (FAI/PPAP), establish inspection standards (Control Plan), and oversee raw material quality.
- Address and resolve technical quality issues (NCR/8D) while driving continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
- Cost Optimization & Technology Integration:
- Analyze supplier data and manufacturing processes to break down costs across operations, proposing cost-effective alternatives.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, identify key technical advantages, and apply them to R&D projects at optimal costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure all incoming materials meet technical specifications and project requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Experience: Proven experience in roles such as SQE (Supplier Quality Engineer), QA/QC Engineer, or Supplier Capability Development (SCD/Sourcing).
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong proficiency in quality control tools: 7 QC Tools, 8D, 5Why, FMEA, Control Plan.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Broad knowledge across manufacturing processes and engineering fields.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.
