Sr Quality engineer Jobs in Columbia, SC at Schneider Electric
Responsibilities:
Support the initiatives of the Quality Assurance department
Supply chain support in the development and maintenance of a supplier rating system and supplier evaluation
Develop and provide statistical analysis of quality performance, problems and recommend solutions to both legacy and new products
Support the implementation of a Statistical Process Control environment
Support continuous improvement activities geared towards elimination of processes variation, nonconformities and cost reduction
Perform internal ISO audits of the processes and activities throughout the organization and prepares respective audit reports.
Provide monthly/daily reports and analysis as requested
Develop control plans, check lists, and inspection procedures for new and existing products
Train CNC personnel on inspection techniques
Develop gauging requirements for new and existing products
Active participation in Material Review Board (MRB) activities
All other tasks are assigned by department management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Demonstrable track record over a minimum of 5 years of successfully working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Familiarity of Six Sigma.
Display ISO knowledge.
Strong project management experience.
Cross functional team builder/player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
Must have senior management potential/interest.
Knowledge of Microsoft office (word and excel) and Minitab.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Required CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience.
