Are you looking to start or develop your career in the food manufacturing industry? This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Assistant to join a well-established and growing food production business.
In this role, you will support the Technical and Quality teams to ensure the site meets all
food safety
, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with BRCGS standards, HACCP, and customer-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Assisting with internal audits, external audits, and customer visits
* Aiding in the completion of risk assessments and investigation of non-conformances
* Supporting HACCP documentation and
food safety
procedures
* Communicating with customers on technical queries, including audit preparation and corrective action closeouts
* Assisting in the launch of new products, ensuring compliance with
food safety
and quality standards
* Supporting traceability exercises, product sampling, and quality checks
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
* A good understanding of
food safety
and
quality assurance
standards
* Knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and retailer technical requirements
* Strong
attention to detail
and excellent written and verbal
communication skills
* The ability to work within a
fast-paced environment
and manage multiple tasks
