Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Test Analyst. The Test Analyst will be responsible for supporting software quality assurance activities by analyzing system requirements, preparing test plans, executing test cases, and identifying defects to ensure applications and systems function accurately and efficiently. The role involves performing functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing while documenting testing results and reporting technical issues to internal development teams. Responsibilities also include reviewing system specifications, validating software performance, and ensuring applications meet operational and business requirements before deployment.

The Test Analyst will collaborate closely with developers, technical teams, and stakeholders to improve software quality and maintain reliable testing processes. Additional responsibilities include tracking defects, assisting with troubleshooting activities, monitoring testing progress, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the testing environment. The role also involves maintaining accurate testing documentation, preparing reports, updating test scenarios, and ensuring testing activities are completed professionally and within project timelines.

The position requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced technical environment. The Test Analyst will contribute to system reliability by identifying process improvements, supporting automation initiatives, and helping ensure software products operate securely, efficiently, and according to business expectations. The role also includes supporting communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clear reporting of testing outcomes and system performance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance principles

• Familiarity with Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing processes

• Knowledge of Defect Tracking, Test Case Preparation, and Software Validation procedures

• Ability to analyze system requirements and identify potential issues or inconsistencies effectively

• Familiarity with testing tools, bug tracking systems, and reporting platforms

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and testing methodologies

• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills with excellent attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple testing tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and testing-related software tools

• Excellent Communication and Documentation skills in a collaborative working environment

• Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn new technologies and testing practices
