Job Summary
Own the automation strategy and quality gates across the entire platform, including Web UI, REST APIs, WebSocket services, and business-critical financial workflows. You will design and maintain scalable automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high test coverage, security, and release readiness before every deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright for critical business flows, including:
- Marketing
- Checkout
- Authentication
- Promotions
- Payouts
- Broker
- Ledger
- Build and maintain automated test suites for REST APIs, including contract testing based on OpenAPI specifications.
- Develop automation for WebSocket testing, covering schema validation, reconnection scenarios, duplicate messages, and degraded-state handling.
- Implement automated:
- Visual regression testing (Chromatic)
- Performance and load testing (k6, supporting 500+ concurrent users)
- Accessibility testing
- Integrate security automation into CI/CD pipelines, including:
- SAST (Semgrep, SonarQube)
- DAST (OWASP ZAP)
- Dependency and secret scanning (Snyk, TruffleHog)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) security scanning
- Establish and maintain CI/CD quality gates, including:
- Minimum 80% overall test coverage
- 90%+ coverage for financial, risk, and ledger workflows
- Release evidence and compliance documentation
- Manage test cases using Xray or TestRail.
- Develop reusable test data builders and vendor service mocks.
- Monitor, analyze, and reduce flaky tests to improve automation reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred) or Cypress.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (experience with C#/.NET is a plus).
- Experience testing REST APIs and WebSocket applications.
- Solid understanding of:
- API contract testing
- OpenAPI specifications
- Idempotency concepts
- Experience integrating automated testing into GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience maintaining stable automation suites with minimal flaky tests.
- Hands-on experience with Xray or TestRail for test management and coverage reporting.
- Strong quality mindset with a security-first approach.
- Good English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
- Experience implementing security scanning solutions, including:
- SAST
- DAST
- Semgrep
- OWASP ZAP
- Snyk
- Experience working in FinTech, Trading, or other financial systems.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and real-time distributed systems.
- Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact or OpenAPI-based validation.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Visual regression testing
- Accessibility testing
- Understanding of CI/CD quality gates, release governance, and compliance requirements in regulated environments.
