Job Description
This role is part of a professional, multi-skilled functional testing team responsible for all aspects of functional testing across multi-platform, multi-client, and multi-functional systems and supporting environments. The position ensures high-quality delivery, customer satisfaction, testing governance, and continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project-level test reporting and defect metrics management.
- Ensure testing deliverables meet customer expectations and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Review and validate test artifacts, including test cases, test scenarios, and traceability matrices.
- Monitor and track the progress of testing engagements, identifying and resolving risks and issues proactively.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members to enhance testing competencies.
- Define, implement, and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and processes.
- Collaborate closely with System Operations teams, Business Testing teams, and other support groups.
- Prepare and maintain key testing documentation, including:
- Test Plans
- Test Metrics Reports
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Reports
- Traceability Matrices
- Contribute to the enhancement of organizational testing methodologies, standards, guidelines, and testing tool usage.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and drive continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Extensive experience in software testing and software development within the Core Banking domain.
- Strong experience in:
- SWIFT Payment Processing testing
- Investigation and Resolution testing
- Accounting Entry testing
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT ISO message testing and IPLA Converter functionality.
- Experience testing Web, Mobile, and Client-Server applications.
- Strong expertise in functional testing, including both Manual and Automation Testing.
- Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard testing tools and test management platforms.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Core Banking systems and payment processing workflows.
- Expertise in SWIFT ISO 20022 messaging standards.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with defect management and test management tools.
- Knowledge of end-to-end banking transaction processing and reconciliation.
