Test Engineer I/II Jobs in Briggs, TX at Firefly Aerospace
Design Precast & Pipe, Inc is looking for a dedicated Quality Control Technician with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring, evaluating, and documenting the quality of our precast concrete products to uphold our reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.
All applicants MUST pass Pre-employment Physical and drug test.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished precast concrete products to ensure compliance with company and state standards and governing specifications.
Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections of products at various stages of the production process to identify defects, deviations, or inconsistencies.
Utilize measurement tools, testing equipment, and quality control procedures to verify product dimensions, strength, durability, and adherence to design specifications. Ability to read blueprints and interrupt job related specifications.
Document inspection results, findings, and any non-conformities in detailed reports and maintain accurate quality records for traceability and analysis.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, provide guidance on corrective actions, and verify the effectiveness of quality improvement measures.
Monitor production processes, equipment calibration, and environmental conditions to ensure product consistency and compliance with quality standards.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards in all quality control activities.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Relevant work experience is a plus in Quality Assurance or related feild.
Proven experience in quality control, inspection, or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Knowledge of quality control methods, statistical analysis, and quality management systems.
Familiarity with construction materials, precast concrete production processes, and industry standards is a plus.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Certification in quality control or quality assurance is advantageous.
3 years in Quality Control is preferred.
3 years in Precast is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing, walking, and stooping throughout the shift.
Ability to keep up with manufacturing requirements.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
Able to work with dust and outside environment conditions(i.e. rain, wind)
Use to wearing earplugs and other PPE – such as a hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses as required.
