Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester with a strong background in the airline industry, particularly in Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and Departure Control Systems (DCS). The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in planning, designing, and executing manual test cases, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply functional knowledge to plan, construct, and execute manual test cases aligned with overall test objectives.
Perform functional testing for airline applications, especially PSS and airport systems such as DCS.
Execute API testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive and reusable test cases and scenarios.
Create and maintain detailed test reports, ensuring traceability to business and technical requirements.
Use test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps/VSO) for test planning, defect tracking, and reporting.
Identify, document, and facilitate the resolution of defects, collaborating closely with development teams.
Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and operations teams to ensure quality across the software lifecycle.
Interpret business and technical requirements independently and convert them into structured test plans.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in manual testing with a focus on airline domain applications, especially PSS and DCS.
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
Hands-on experience with test management tools like JIRA, VSO, or similar.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
