Hello Better is growing, and we’re looking for QA Testers to join our Sri Lankan team.
We work with businesses in New Zealand and Australia to design, build, and improve digital systems that support real business operations. Our work includes custom software platforms, booking systems, CRM integrations, Salesforce solutions, AI tools, business portals, data-driven applications, and
complex digital products.

About the role
As a QA Tester at Hello Better, you’ll work closely with our developers, designers, project leads, and clients to test software platforms, APIs, integrations, user journeys, business workflows, portals, dashboards, CRM-
connected systems, and AI-powered tools.
You’ll help us make sure the work we deliver is reliable, easy to use, and ready for real users.
We’re looking for people who don’t just “check boxes”, but think deeply about how a system should work, how users will experience it, and where things could go wrong.
We highly value QA testers who can bring new ideas into the team, improve how we test, and help us build stronger QA processes over time. Experience with test plans, testing methodologies, structured QA processes, and automation tools such as Playwright would be a strong advantage.
What you’ll be doing
- Testing custom software platforms and business applications
- Writing and following test plans and test cases
- Testing user journeys, workflows, permissions, dashboards, forms, and business logic
- Testing APIs, integrations, data flows, and system behaviour
- Testing booking systems, CRM-connected platforms, customer portals and internal tools
- Performing manual testing across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Checking usability, responsiveness, browser compatibility, and edge cases
- Logging bugs clearly with screenshots, screen recordings, steps to reproduce, and expected outcomes
- Retesting fixes and confirming issues are resolved
- Working with developers to understand features, technical requirements, and business rules
- Supporting user acceptance testing before client releases
- Suggesting improvements to our QA process, tools, and testing methodology
- Helping introduce or improve automated testing where suitable
What we’re looking for
- Experience with manual & automated QA testing
- Good attention to detail
- A strong understanding of software systems and user workflows
- Ability to write clear test cases and bug reports
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to test across different devices, browsers, and screen sizes
- Basic understanding of APIs, forms, dashboards, CMS platforms, CRM systems, booking flows, portals, and integrations
