About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technology Quality Assurance Analyst specializing in EDI, file-based integrations, and enterprise data flows. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of data exchange processes across our shipping and logistics platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks, validating end-to-end transaction workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold high-quality standards. Your expertise will help facilitate seamless integration between Purolator and its partners, vendors, and internal systems, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, leveraging automation tools and best practices to enhance testing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University or College diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Design, or a related technical discipline
  • 3-5 years of hands-on QA experience with a focus on test automation and integration testing
  • Proven experience testing EDI and file-based integrations, including X12 transactions and acknowledgements
  • Strong proficiency with automation frameworks and tools such as Robot Framework, SoapUI, Selenium, TestNG, and scripting languages like Python and Java
  • Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and file-based data exchanges
  • Working knowledge of databases such as SQL or DynamoDB for validation and analysis
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and automated testing in delivery pipelines
  • Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, and Confluence
  • Knowledge of AWS systems, SAP integrations, and EDI platforms is a strong asset
  • Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter for high-volume transaction flows
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG 2.0/2.1) is an asset
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a hybrid work environment
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test frameworks focusing on EDI, APIs, and file-based integrations
  • Assess and enhance existing automation frameworks to increase test coverage, particularly for EDI transactions, acknowledgements, and downstream impacts
  • Validate end-to-end EDI workflows, including inbound/outbound files, transformations, routing, retries, error handling, and data reconciliation
  • Create and execute comprehensive integration test strategies and plans, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and traceability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track defects, producing clear test status reports and quality metrics
  • Participate actively in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across various platforms such as EDI, E‑Ship Server, Data File Distribution, Web Services/APIs, Mobile Applications, and SAP
  • Support production issues related to EDI and integrations, conducting root-cause analysis and validating fixes
  • Guide QA team members on automation standards, EDI testing approaches, and reusing test assets across projects
  • Coordinate test execution across multiple concurrent initiatives involving shared platforms and trading partners
  • Research and recommend modern automation, AI-assisted testing, and validation tools to improve quality and efficiency
