Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $22.50.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience.

The Quality Technician will have the responsibilities of performing lab functions to include running quality assurance tests and in-process and finished goods quality checks. Must be available to work any shift, rotating shifts, and overtime as neccessary.

Responsibilities :

Collect samples, perform QA test on finished and incoming goods, following all test methods and specifications.
Make dispositions on raw materials, returned goods, and daily production
Participate in writing work instructions and continuous improvement efforts
Complete required quality reporting and perform data analysis
Perform and complete other work as assigned by supervisor and assist other departments as needed
Responsible for quality performance on designated work shift

Leadership Responsibilities:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports for this position.

Requirements : (education, skills, and abilities)

Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong math skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
Self-Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
General knowledge of computers with the ability to navigate various programs.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong comprehension skills
Able to work flexible schedule to include possible overtime
Willingness to work in non-temperature-controlled environment.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)

The ability to stand for extended periods
The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)
The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.
The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
