The Quality Control Technician plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet established quality standards. This position is responsible for performing inspections, maintaining quality documentation, assisting with assembly activities as needed, and supporting the overall organization and cleanliness of quality systems and inspection equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with assembly operations as needed to support production requirements.
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials and manufactured products to verify compliance with specifications and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Prepare and maintain quality control reports and documentation.
- Assist in the development and organization of quality control libraries, records, and documentation.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files, programs, and quality-related documents.
- Ensure tooling, inspection equipment, and work areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Spend the majority of the workday on the production floor monitoring quality and supporting manufacturing operations.
- Utilize office computer systems to complete inspection reports and maintain quality records.
- Maintain the cleanliness, calibration, and routine upkeep of the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and related inspection equipment.
- Travel occasionally to perform vendor inspections and complete quality documentation as required.
- Participate in company-provided training to learn the operation and programming of CMM equipment.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both a manufacturing and office environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for completing reports and maintaining records.
- Willingness to learn new inspection equipment and processes.
- Ability to travel occasionally for supplier inspections.
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
