POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Inspector to support our growing Quality team. In this role, you will focus primarily on performing dimensional and visual inspections using precision metrology equipment, assisting with document control activities, process inspections, and helping maintain the organization’s training systems. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of product and process quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
· Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications to verify product conformance.
· Document inspection results, nonconformances, and rework actions accurately and promptly.
· Support root cause investigations by providing measurement data and inspection feedback.
- Assist with maintaining controlled documents, ensuring proper revision control and distribution.
- Support updates to procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Help ensure compliance with internal document control policies and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc., if applicable).
- Assist in maintaining employee training records and tracking training requirements.
- Help coordinate training sessions and ensure timely completion of mandatory training.
- Support audits by providing documentation related to training compliance.
- Assist in maintaining the calibration of tools and equipment
- ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in quality, manufacturing, or metrology preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality or manufacturing leadership role.
- Understanding of metrology tools and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with document control processes and training record management a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.OTHER RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience with ISO 9001:2015
2. Experience working with SAP ERP system
3. Facilitator/team training.
4. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control techniques.
5. Equipment calibration techniques.
