Overview
Senior QA Engineer Jobs in Algiers, Algeria at Datategy
Title: Senior QA Engineer
Company: Datategy
Location: Algiers, Algeria
Location: Hybrid — based in Algeria (candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Algeria)
We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across a complex, multi-channel platform — someone who treats testing as an engineering discipline, not an afterthought before release.
What you’ll own
- Test strategy and test plans covering functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser/device scenarios
- Functional and non-regression testing across new features and existing workflows, with clear traceability back to business requirements
- Test automation architecture and implementation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent), covering UI, API, and contract-level tests
- Defect lifecycle management — detecting, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking issues through to resolution, with clear reproduction steps and severity assessment
- Validation that delivered functionality matches business rules and acceptance criteria, not just technical specs
- Collaboration with developers and business analysts to catch issues early, and with product/business stakeholders during UAT cycles
- Continuous improvement of the automation suite — coverage, stability, and execution speed — to keep pace with an evolving codebase
What you bring
- 5+ years in QA/software testing, with solid experience owning quality for a complex, multi-user, multi-integration system
- Hands-on expertise building and maintaining automated test suites with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Strong skills in designing test plans and test cases from business requirements, including edge cases and negative scenarios
- Experience testing REST APIs and validating data/business-rule correctness, not just UI behavior
- Rigorous defect-documentation habits and comfort working with bug-tracking and test-management tools
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate quality risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bonus: experience with performance, security, or cross-platform/compatibility testing
If you take pride in catching what others miss and building automation that actually gets maintained, reach out or drop a comment.
