The services to be provided include:
• Design, implement and maintain automated tests for APIs and recommendation systems.
• Analysis of functional and technical requirements to derive suitable test strategies and methods.
• Perform various types of tests, including unit, integration, end-to-end, load, and regression tests.
• Integration of automated tests into existing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Identification and structured analysis of error patterns as well as derivation of measures to eliminate and optimize performance.
• Creation and maintenance of test documentation, test plans and test reports in accordance with the standards and requirements of WDR.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams consisting of development, DevOps and product management.
• Technical support and support of external partners in the use of provided interfaces (e.g. REST, GraphQL, pub/sub).
• Optimize existing testing processes by identifying areas for improvement, introducing appropriate tools and technologies, and aligning with DevOps and development.
Qualification Requirements
The following qualifications are required to provide the services described:
• In-depth knowledge of software quality assurance and test automation.
• High level of technical overview knowledge, as well as practical experience with interface technologies of complex software components such as REST, GraphQL and pub/sub.
• Experience in developing and executing automated tests in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Kotlin, or Java.
• Knowledge in the application of common test methods and procedures (unit tests, integration tests, end-2-end tests, regression tests, load tests).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Confident handling of version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to identify and analyze software errors in a structured manner as well as to optimize performance.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams as well as in the targeted communication of test results and quality indicators.
• Knowledge of the use and introduction of new tools for the optimization of test and quality assurance processes is expressly desired.
